What you will need
- Make sure your modem or modem router has access to a power outlet. Your first node has been established.
- More than one node can be set up anywhere within a working node’s range if you have that many. The modem or modem router only has to be connected to one node at a time. No worries, the software will assist you in locating nodes.
What is the procedure for resetting the system to its factory settings?
You should never have to perform a factory reset on your Velop. After a factory reset, your Velop system will be back to the state it was in when you first unpacked it, and you will have to go through the configuration procedure all over. Wi-Fi name, passwords, and security type will all be wiped clean of any customizations you’ve made since the device was installed. Your Wi-Fi will be turned off for all of your wireless devices. To reset Velop, use the following command:
- Press and hold the Reset button on the bottom of your node while it is powered on. The top of the node’s light will turn red and dim in pulses as the node is powered up. Ensure that the light has gone out before pressing the button.
NOTE:- You may need to restore the factory default settings of all the nodes in your Velop system. Before resetting any other nodes, start with the one connected to your modem or modem router and see if that fixes the problem.
